How to Use This Calendar
What you see when it opens
   The calendar will open on the current month, showing in grid view like a typical wall calendar. In month view all the months are listed in a bar across the top of the calendar. You can tell which month is being displayed because it will be in a different color and will have the full year added to it. The current date will also be shown in a different color.

   Once you have the calendar open you can:
  (1) navigate to a different date
  (2) change the style from a grid (shows all dates even if unscheduled) to a list (shows only scheduled dates)
  (3) change the range of dates showing at one time (e.g. week, month, year)
  (4) select a scheduled event to get more details
  (5) search for an event by details
  and
  (6) authorized users can log in and make additions and other changes.

Change the calendar you wish to view.
  The Main calendar shows all Hosanna events for public viewing. You may choose one of the buttons in the left menu to view the events for one particular calendar only. The General calendar shows events which do not fall into one of the other categories.

  For example, the Main calendar shows all events from the General, Youth and Small Groups calendars. It also includes holidays. The Youth calendar shows only the events pertaining to the youth groups.

   The calendars at the bottom of the list are "stand-alone" calendars, meaning they do not show on the Main calendar (e.g. Troop 94). These buttons have a different background shade or color.

Change the range of dates showing at one time.
  Calendar Views control the range of dates visible at one time. The Calendar view buttons are the ones marked with commonly requested views such as "Today", "Two-Week", or "Month". Just select one of those buttons to rewrite the calendar with the requested view.
Grid or List View
  Grid view shows all dates for the selected range in the style of the typical wall calendar. Grid view lists only the title and the start time. In some calendars the end time may show also.

  List view shows just the events for the selected period in a single column format.

NOTE: On the Resource Calendar, the Room and Group / Team shows in the grid view.
Printable Calendar
  The printable calendar presents the viewer with a barebones calendar. There are no command options, no footer, and no links.

  The calendar looks best in the Landscape format. You may need to change the settings from within your browser. To do so, go to File, then Page Setup. In the Orientation box, click Landscape. You can also clear the text in Headers and Footers so they do not print, making for a clean calendar.

Event Details
  The event title is usually a link to more details. Just select the link to get all the rest of the information on that event.
Changing which dates show
   The navigation bar across the top allows you to see earlier or later dates from what is currently showing.

   The months listed across the top are links that allow you to jump to that month. To see a different month use your pointer to select it from that top bar. If you need a different year the arrows at each end will allow you to move either backward or forward year by year. Select the arrows at the right end to move to the following year. Select the arrows on the left end for the previous year.

   Navigate the other time ranges in a similar way. For example, the view showing two weeks at a time shows the dates covered in that top bar. The arrows at each end allow you to move forward or backward one week at a time.

Search
   You can search on any of the event fields. Between allows a search between two dates. Unfortunately, if an event is recurring, or has multiple dates, only the first occurrence will show. Also, if the first date is before the between dates, it will not show at all. Hopefully a fix is coming.
Login
   If you are an authorized user Login with your username and password to add or edit events. When you login the choices on the menu will change to include selections for adding or editing events. If you are an administrator an additional "Admin" choice will appear.
Add Event
  This selection will appear only after you login with your username and password. This selection allows you to add an entirely new event. Select this one for events that recur on a regular basis.
Edit Event
  This selection will appear only after you login with your username and password. This selection allows you to add new dates to an existing event, or change the information on all occurrences of an existing event. The list you see first will be events for the current month. Navigate to prior months to find the event you want to edit or add dates to.
Admin
  Whether this selection appears depends upon the scope of your user rights. It appears if you have rights in addition to adding or editing events.
Logout
  Be sure to Logout when you are done to prevent accidental or unauthorized changes to the schedules.
