How to Add or Edit Events
Add or Edit?
If the event you want to add is exactly the same as a previous event, except for the date, you may prefer to Edit, rather than Add. That way you don't have to enter anything except the new date. BUT if you edit an event with multiple dates that change will affect all the dates. So if there are differences in times, location, contacts or other details then the event should be Added as a new event.
Title
The Title is what appears in the grid view of the calendar. This can be very short because you can rely on the description field to provide greater detail.
NOTE: On the Resource Calendar, the Room and Group / Team shows in the grid view.
Description
The description field allows you to add quite a bit of additional information. You can include addresses, phone numbers, driving directions and other details. If you want to link to a web page a link will be created if you use the formal "http://" format. For example, to link to Friendship Foundation you would type http://www.Friendship-Foundation.org/ then when you save the event it will automatically be saved as a link.
Start Time
If the Event is not an all day event you must select at least a Start time. Be sure to fill out hour, minutes and AM or PM.
End Time
While a start time is required an end time is not. If you pick an end time, be sure to fill out hour, minutes and AM or PM.
All Day
Just click in the box to schedule an all day event.
Individual Date(s)

You can type in the date. If you type in more than one date be sure to separate each date with a comma. You can also enter dates by selecting them from a tiny calendar. Reach this calendar by clicking on the Select Date Button button at the end of the date entry box. When you click on that button a small calendar opens up. You can then just click on the date(s) you want to select. Clicking on a selected date will unselect it. You can click on the small x in the upper right corner to close it, or click anywhere outside the calendar. The dates you selected will be entered.

One advantage of this section is that you can apply the same title and description where there is a repeating event. There is no need for the event to be regular. If later something changes you can simply "unclick" a date. You can then create a new entry for that changed date if you wish. The disadvantage is that you do have to select each date that you want to show on the calendar.

Date Range
You can type in the beginning or ending dates, or select it by clicking on the Select Date Button button. When you click on it a small calendar opens up. Clicking on the date selects it, clicking on a selected date unselects it.
Editing Events

If you choose to Edit Events keep in mind that any change you make will affect all the dates set for that event. This feature is very useful for adding new dates to existing events. When you click on the "Edit Events" button you will be presented a list of events for the current month. If the event you want to edit isn't there select the month where the event does appear. Change the month, and year if necessary, then click on the Go button. You will get the list of events for the month you selected.

Find the event you want to update, then click Schedule.
Click on the Select Date Button button at the end of the date entry box. Click on the date(s) you want to add. To move to another month click on the > > symbols.
Click on the Save button to return to the Edit Events list.

If you want to change the Title and Description for an event, click the Edit button, instead of the Schedule button. If you make changes all the entries for the event will be changed, past, present and future.
Whether or not you made any changes click the "Save Changes" button to move to the next screen.
